The United Way of Southwest Alabama (UWSWA) is partnering with the USA Office of Community Engagement to host a Day of Caring on Friday, March 22, to engage volunteers in helping local community organizations.
One of our volunteer sites will be Goodwill Gulf Coast, a partner that provides programs and services to help individuals and families overcome challenges due to disabilities and other barriers that impact economic well-being, self-sufficiency, and quality of life.
Volunteers will support Goodwill Gulf Coast's Work Training Center with some assembly and packaging projects for their local partners.
Transportation to/from this event will be provided, and we plan to depart the University at 10 a.m. and return by 1:30 p.m. T-shirts and lunch will also be provided. If you have any dietary restrictions, please note them in your need response.
