The United Way of Southwest Alabama (UWSWA) is partnering with the USA Office of Community Engagement to host a Day of Caring on Saturday, March 23, to engage volunteers in helping local community organizations.
One of our volunteer sites will be with UCP of Mobile, a local partner dedicated to promoting the independence, productivity, and full citizenship of people with disabilities.
Volunteers will support UCP's Camp SMILE Family Weekend. This weekend is a mini camp full of fun camp activities for campers ages 5 to 13 and their families. As a volunteer, you'll help with arts-and-crafts, games, and more.
Transportation to/from this event will be provided, and we plan to depart the University at 8 a.m. and return by 1:30 p.m.
