The University of South Alabama School of Computing and the South Alabama Regional Inservice Center have partnered with the MCPSS to host the Region 7 Tech Fair. It will be on Friday, March 15, in the Student Center on the University of South Alabama campus. There are 17 categories from various tech areas, including animation, audio production, computing programming, digital art, digital photography, digital games, graphic design, hardware modification, mobile apps, multimedia, multi-dimensional design, productivity designs, robotics, video production, and web design A list and description of the categories can be found here - Tech Fair Category Descriptions.
We are looking for volunteers to be judges. A background in technology is not necessary, only the willingness to work with students!
The fair is divided into 4 levels of competitors
Level 1: 3rd - 5th grade
Level 2: 6th - 8th grade
Level 3: 9th - 10th grade
Level 4: 11th - 12th grade.
The judging will be from 8:30 - 11:30 a.m., but some of the judging could end earlier, depending on the category.
