Faculty/Staff: Project Homeless Connect 2024 Registration Volunteers

Expired

Description

Volunteers are needed to help with registration for Navigator and Health Assessment volunteers at this year's Project Homeless Connect, which provides a variety of services for homeless individuals and families in our community. Services include legal assistance, health screenings, mental health services, housing assistance, and more. USA faculty and staff who would like to get involved and help with registration are invited to "RESPOND" to this need.

There are multiple shifts available for this event with start times at 6:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. The day of the event, we'll meet at The Grounds (1035 Cody Rd. N., Mobile).

IMPORTANT:

  1. All activity participants are required to sign two waivers, which will be available electronically when you "RESPOND" to this need. As you read and/or sign each page of the waiver packet, be sure to click the blue "SUBMIT PAGE AND PROCEED" button in the bottom left corner to save your edits and proceed to the subsequent page.

  2. After you've electronically signed the waiver, click the blue RESPOND button for this Need a second time to complete your registration.

Navigators/volunteers are wearing RED shirts; most Health Clinic volunteers are wearing scrubs or lab coats. For registration, we'd suggest comfortable and warm clothes, given that it's January and the building can be a bit drafty. Due to COVID-19, all volunteers, staff, faculty, and clients are encouraged to wear a face mask at all times while indoors. N95 or KN95 masks are best if you’re not vaccinated.

Lunch will be available between 12 - 1:30 p.m.
