Good Evening, Tomorrow is the Alabama Coastal Cleanup on Saturday, September 16th 2023! Mobile Baykeeper is hosting the three-mile creek site this year once again. Our check-in will be on site on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave across from 1501 Delaney St, Mobile, AL 36603. Check-in will be from 7:30-8:30 and then the cleanup will be conducted from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and wrapping up and returning to the site to return supplies and pick up goody bags between 11:30 a.m. -12:00 p.m.
We are not having a water cleanup in the three-mile creek for safety due to work happening within the creek. We will be cleaning up and down Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Av e with the turning around point being Faith Lutheran Church and Admiral Rapheal Semmes Graves Cemetery. The other location will be Lincoln St, Delaney St. & N Catherine St with the turn around being Thomas Sullivan Community Center.
Parking will be available at check - in site and overflow parking will be at the Thomas Sulivan Community Center Parking lot. Please try to carpool if in groups as much as you can. We will have refreshments and Alabama Coastal Cleanup swag to have after the cleanup has been conducted. If you have any questions day of email Emilee Foster (efoster@mobilebaykeeper.org) and/or Reagan Robinson (rrobinson@mobilebaykeeper.org). They will be in blue shirts at the cleanup tomorrow and at the check-in table. If you are in a group, you can sign your group on one waiver with the signature of a guardian/parent over 18.
