The Dumas Wesley Community Center's transitional housing program, the Baldwin Family Village (BFV), is located in Fairhope, Alabama. The program provides 12 months of housing stability and wrap-around services for up to 100 women and children annually. BFV seeks to break the cycle of homelessness and help women and children re-establish and maintain self-sufficiency by focusing on accountability, case management, life skills and behavior modification.
Volunteers are needed to donate new items that will be included in a "Welcome Basket" for new residents upon move in to the Baldwin Family Village. Basket items include: Pillows, Twin Sheet Sets, Full Sheet Sets, Crib Sheets, Twin Comforters, Full Comforters, Full, Twin and Crib Mattress Protectors (waterproof and bed bug proof), Throw Blanket, Bathroom Trash Can, Towel Sets, Clothes Baskets, Packs of Hangers, Laundry Detergent, Dryer Sheets, Adult Body Wash, Kid's Shampoo/Body Wash, Shampoo/Conditioner,,Deodorant, Tampons, Pads, Adult Toothbrush, Kid's Toothbrushes, Adult Toothpaste, Kid's Toothpaste, Diapers (all sizes)
