Want to learn about water quality and solve pollution problems in your area? Join Mobile Baykeeper's Bacteria Blitz Event on Monday February 6th from 12:30 PM to 3:30PM to help track down sources of bacteria input in the Threemile Creek watershed. Learn how bacterial pollution enters our waterways, how it threatens habitats and people, and team up to go collect samples out in the field. Be sure to wear comfortable outdoor gear. Volunteers will be tasked with traveling to a sampling site on or near campus, collecting water samples, and bringing the samples back to the lab. Mobile Baykeeper will process the samples at their facility.
All volunteers must sign a travel waiver. Travel waivers can be obtained at the front desk of the third floor EOB lobby. Sign and return the waiver by noon on Friday February3rd.
Meet us in the Education & Outreach Building, EOB, room 316, at 12:30PM.
Make a difference in your watershed and receive service hours for your stewardship!
