Description

This is a one-time event happening on Thursday, April 14th from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm, though volunteers can choose the times they are available.

The USA Archaeology Museum will be hosting 300 7th-graders from Spanish Fort Middle School for Field Day at the Museum. Volunteers are needed to assist with activities at the museum and the Jaguar Training Center.

The following schedules have the times needed, listed by activity and location, which you can choose as there will be activities at the museum and the Jaguar Training Center (JTC) that need volunteers. Students can select the museum or JTC, choose an activity, and put their name next to the time slot they are available at the following Google Drive Document links:

Jaguar Training Center: Atlatl Practice, Chunkey, Cup Catch, Hoop & Stick, Wind Propeller

Archaeology Museum: Museum Docents, Bell Tower Guides, Native Plant Garden, Bone Lab, Artifacts Tell A Story

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Please email Jen Knutson, Archaeology Museum Assistant Director, with any questions at: jenknutson@southalabama.edu.

Thank you for considering volunteering with the Archaeology Museum!
