The AlabamaGermany Partnership is looking for volunteers to help with its biggest event of the year, which brings German and American leaders from industrial, cultural, educational, and governmental sectors together to celebrate the Alabama-Germany friendship.
This event will be a great way to expand your professional network, and maybe even practice a little German if that's something you've been studying.
Volunteers are needed from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at The Battle House Renaissance Hotel & Spa, and they'll be asked to help with:
- Event set-up
- Technical support such as name tag printing, presentation set-up, etc.
- Silent auction support
- Greeting and directing guests
Dinner will be provided for all volunteers. In addition, Dr. Mitchell, Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students, will excuse absences Thursday, February 24, in the afternoon for students who volunteer for this Need.
A volunteer orientation will likely be held sometime Monday, February 21, via Zoom. The orientation meeting will help the AlabamaGermany Partnership director get to know participating volunteers so that she can connect you during or after the dinner with companies or institutions that might be useful you in your career and future endeavors.
