Let’s Roll, Mobile! MPRD is bringing a brand new activity to the park. On May 14th we’ll be closing off the streets and turning Bienville Square into a giant skating rink! We’ll have lights, a live DJ, and yes, we’ll be doing the hokey pokey! We need volunteers to assist with setup and breakdown.
Volunteer Teams
Entrance Team: Team of 4 Answers questions, gives directions, engages with guests. Counts/ Clicks
Table Team: Team of 2 Standing by tables where people change shoes/ skates. Hands out glow sticks, gives directions. Engages with guests
Floaters: Team of 4 One designated floater to each of the four streets, engage with skaters. Check on them if they need to rest at the stop. Help up anyone who falls down. Survey the area for safety issues inform skaters where water is for purchase.
Exit Team: Team of 2 . Two at each exit . Engages with guests . Thanks them, answers questions , gives directions. asks guests to scan qr code and complete survey.
Barricade Team : Team of 8 . This team will transition from barricades at the beginning of the night into the team which walks around the event with trash pickers and blowers . This team will look for any and all safety issues.
