Rehab Sciences Career Fair

On August 27th, our NSSLHA chapter tabled at the Rehab Sciences Career Fair to represent the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology professions. Throughout the event, our members chatted with fellow Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT), and allied health students, as well as visiting healthcare employers. We loved sharing what SLPs and AuDs do, answering questions about our department, and discussing how all of our fields work together in patient care! We also took the opportunity to network with local employers to learn about shadowing, internship, and clinical placement opportunities for our members. Fostering these interprofessional relationships on campus helped us raise awareness for communication and swallowing disorders while showing how vital SLP and AuD services are across the healthcare team.
