Do you want to help keep our campus clean? Do you like recycling?
If so, this event is perfect for you! Join the Green Jags at 9:00 PM at the Hancock Whitney Stadium to help gather all recyclables form the stands and save them from landfills. We will be provided materials, such as gloves, sticks to pick up trash, and bags, by the Grounds Department. Even if you can't make it right on time or stay until the job is done, any help is welcome.
Here's how the event will go...
- Gather at South Paw Statue in front of the stadium
- Sign waivers and listen to brief on what to collect
- Enter the stadium together, and find a buddy to work with
- On your way out, scan the QR code provided for attendance
For those driving to the event, you may use entrance 1 or 2 to enter the campus, and should be allowed to park nearby. We will be gathering at South Paw statue close to the end of the game, and will move into the stadium from entrance four (if you are facing South Paw, follow the wall to your left.)
For the safety of all involved, a waiver will be required. Waivers will be provided upon arrival at the stadium.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to the club directly through greenjags@southalabama.edu or to the club's faculty advisor, Dr. Miller, at mollymiller@southalabama.edu.
The date listed, 9/7, is to allow for last-minute sign ups on the 26th. This need will occur on the 6th of September.
