Please use the link or QR code below to sign up for a shift to read to JWES students. The event runs from 9am-12 noon. Please bring your state ID/driver's license to check-in at the front office. Next report to the library to sign in to South Serves for credit. You may dress in PreK-5 appropriate character or not. You may bring your own PreK-5 appropriate books to read aloud OR borrow some from our library. Please park in the staff parking lot. Light snacks will be provided for readers (chips, juice, water, candy). You may read to one class or MORE. You may stay for 30 minutes, an hour, or 9-12.
Picture books with lots of nice pictures and not so many words work well for read alouds. Do be sure to hold the book so that students may view the pictures. DO read in a loud enough voice so that students can hear you clearly.
