Description

To conclude the MLK 2020 Week of Unity and Service, join us for a screening of Marshall and the opening night of the Jewish Film Festival.  A reception and discussion led by Dr. David Meola, Director of Jewish & Holocaust Studies, and Dr. Kern Jackson, Director of African-American Studies, will follow the film screening. 

When:  Monday,  January 20, from 7:00 to 9:45 p.m.

Where:  USA Laidlaw Performing Arts Center

What:  A film screening of Marshall, the story of young Thurgood Marshall during his time with the NAACP.  Marshall later became the first African American Supreme Court Justice.  A discussion to follow the movie. 

Who:  All students, staff, and faculty are invited to join this event.  Free for students with Student ID.  $9 for adults ($7 for seniors).  Tickets can be purchased here:  https://mjffmarshall.brownpapertickets.com/  

Light blue t-shirts will be given out on a first-come/first-served basis to those who participate in the week.  Please use this link to let us know your preferred shirt size after you RESPOND to the Event.
