Volunteer lawyers working with SAVLP provide limited legal advice about certain civil legal matters. Limited legal advice gives you the ability to meet with an attorney for free to receive limited scope advice (the attorney does not represent you after the clinic).
Mobile County clinics are held monthly on the 2nd Thursday of each month. They are held from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm on the 4th Floor of the Mobile County Court House, in room 427. Sign-in begins at 12:30 pm.
*It is not necessary to be a resident of the county where the free legal advice clinic is held. All limited legal advice clinics are handled on an informal, drop-in, first come, first served basis. Since appointments are not taken, we suggest you arrive at the clinic at least 30 minutes before the start. Please bring all important paperwork with you. Lawyers will not provide advice on any criminal matters. There is no guarantee that an attorney will be available for every subject matter or will take your case past the basic advice stage.
