United Way of Southwest Alabama and the University of South Alabama Office of Community Engagement are holding a joint training for agency managers / volunteer coordinators on the use of Volunteer Connect and South Serves. If you are responsible for recruiting or managing volunteers for your organization, this may be the training for you.
This training will offer you a basic introduction to the two volunteer management systems. We'll also talk about how to craft effective need requests to maximize interest among volunteers. Finally, we'll talk about helping your volunteers track their hours and the benefits of hours tracking for both you and your volunteers.
If you have needs that you'd like to enter during the training, bring the relevant information and we'll help you to craft descriptions that speak to volunteers and make them want to work with you.
This training lab is limited to twelve participants, so register to reserve a computer in the lab.
