Who We Are
The Friends of the Mobile Public Library is a non-profit, volunteer organization, formed in 1983, which is dedicated to supporting the Mobile Public Library system in a variety of ways. There are hundreds of similar organizations all over the country.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for our upcoming Book Sale! Please select the shift(s) you are available for and submit your response by April 6, 2026. We appreciate your support!
The Book Sale is open to the public for shopping on Saturday & Sunday, May 2 & 3, 2026 with a special preview sale for dues-paying Friends of the Library members on Friday, May 1, 2026.
Book sale volunteers are needed Monday, April 27 through Tuesday, May 5, 2026. Thank you!
