Bellingrath Gardens & Home was the creation of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bellingrath. The Gardens first opened to the public on April 7, 1932.   Now attracting people from throughout the world, Bellingrath Gardens & Home is now recognized as one of the most beautiful and iconic gardens the Gulf South region.  Many hands work together to keep the Bellingraths’ dream alive for the  general public, casual and professional gardeners, teachers and students.
