Want to support families in transition? Serve as a Shelter Attendant.
As a shelter attendant, you'll provide phone support, help create a healthy and safe environment for our families, and make sure that public spaces are neat and clean. Note, this might include doing a few dishes, wiping down surfaces, and just making sure the space is orderly. You'll engage with our families and make sure they have what they need for the evening. You will always have the support of the staff.
Shelter attendants will be empathic and encouraging, and have a pleasant phone demeanor.
If you become a regular volunteer, you'll witness the growth of our families as they work toward getting back on their feet and making the transition to their own housing.
