Presented by Mobile United, Mobile Baykeepers, the Office of Community Engagement and other community partners, the MLK Day of Service brings together members of the community to make a change in our environment. This event is open to the public and everyone is encouraged to serve the community on this memorable day.
The MLK Day of Service is a community cleanup at Three Mile Creek. We will gather litter and debris from our waterways and surrounding areas to provide a cleaner community for all. Bring about change and provide our area with clean air, clean water and healthy communities.
This is an outdoor event and volunteers should expect cold weather and dress accordingly (closed toe shoes are a must; waders, boots, etc are optional) All cleaning supplies (pickers, gloves, vests) will be provided at the event.
This event will have guest speakers and a provided lunch from Dew Drop Inn at 11:00 am.
