Volunteers needed in shifts throughout the day for various jobs. You can pick the time that is best for your schedule, then go to www.volunteersignup.org/8H4X3 to reserve your spot. You should also Respond here on South Serves and Add Hours after the event so the hours you work will go on your Volunteer Resume. Shifts are in areas like:
- Set Up tents, tables, chairs - 10 to noon (4 people)
- Set up signs, decorations - 10 to noon (4 people)
- Volunteer Table - 12 to 2; 2 to 4, 4 to 6 (1 person per shift)
- Survivor Table - 12 to 2; Survivor Tent 3 to 5, 5 to 7 (2 to 4 per shift)
- Race Registration Table 3 to 5 (2 people)
- Merchandise Tent & Ta-Ta-Taste Off - 3 to 5, and 5 to 7 (2 for each area per shift)
- Orange Cones - out & then up - 4:45 to 6 (4 people)
- Clean Up help - 6 to 8 (8 people)
- Other jobs on volunteer site, too
"Bralunteers" receive a special t-shirt and a great experience. Proceeds of the 5K go to patients who are struggling financially and cannot afford daily expenses such as housing, utilities, co-pays, lifesaving tests and even transportation to/from treatment. This mission is truly making a difference in a patient's life.
If you respond, please make sure you go, since others will not be allowed to sign up as long as you have that shift reserved!
