Join the USA Archaeology Museum for Africatown's cemetery documentation program. This collaborative project provides community members and USA students with the knowledge and skills needed to digitally document and preserve the Africatown/Plateau Cemetery for many generations to come.
***Volunteers are asked to park across the street from the historic Plateau/Africatown Cemetery.
-Please bring a tablet/cell phone to use for documenting.
-Dress appropriately for the weather. Long pants and Wear closed-toe sturdy shoes are recommended.
-Bring a refillable water bottle, sunscreen, & bug spray. There will be extra on hand.
-Come prepared to learn about the rich history of the
Africatown community and help preserve it for future generations.

***PLEASE PARK across the street at the Welcome Center Parking lot. Use caution when walking across the street and near the road shoulder.
