Participate in this CommUNITY event, the Annual Dr. King March and Rally.
When: Monday, January 20, from Noon to 2:00 p.m.
Where: Charter buses leaves from USA Fresh Food Company at 9:15 a.m. Pre-Rally starts at 10:00 a.m. with sign-making and preparations. March starts at Noon with the Rally at Lyons Park immediately after. After you RESPOND to the Need, please use this link to let us know if you plan to ride the charter bus. If you’re taking your own transportation, meet at Bishop State Community College Main Campus (351 N. Broad Street, Mobile, AL 36603) at noon.
Who: All students, staff, and faculty are invited to participate, along with the larger community.
Dress warmly and wear comfortable shoes. Light blue t-shirts will be given out on a first-come/first-served basis to those who participate in the week. Please use this link to let us know your preferred shirt size after you RESPOND to the Need.
IMPORTANT: All participants are required to sign a waiver. To sign the waiver electronically, click on the dropdown menu at the TOP RIGHT by your Initials or Picture. Then, click on QUALIFICATIONS and look for the “MLK 2020 March & Rally Waiver" listed under "Incomplete Waivers". Waiver forms will also be available at all events. Anyone under 18 will need a parent/guardian to sign the waiver, which can also be downloaded when you RESPOND, and returned to the Office of Community Engagement in the Student Center (Room 240) or brought to the event.
