Our Triage Program allows students pursuing a career in healthcare to gain experience in a medical environment by assisting our staff with triaging patients and performing other duties as needed.
Triage Assistant Internships/Volunteers
Escort patients to and from the lobby area. Take vitals, complete medical history forms & update medical chart, etc. Determine the reason for the visit and prepare the patient to see the Doctor. Other duties include cleaning patients' rooms, stocking them, and preparing them for the next patient. Assist medical team as needed.
Attire: Solid Color Scrubs and closed-toed shoes
Triage volunteers work as a part of a team of 3 other triage assistants. Students' placement is based on their availability to volunteer 7:30 am - 12 pm or 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm and open shifts. (Commitment: One 4-hour shift once per week for the entire semester)
Shift AM: 7:30 am - 12:00 pm Monday - Friday
Shift PM 1:00 - 5:00 pm Monday - Thursday
