Volunteer Opportunity: Celebrating Juneteenth Watermelon Festival.

Location: Downtown Prichard
Are you passionate about community events and making a positive impact? Join us for the Prichard Juneteenth Celebration and 5th Annual Watermelon Festival! We’re seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help us create an unforgettable day of fun, culture, and celebration.
Volunteer Roles:
1. Kids’ Activities: Manage waterslides, bouncy houses, and story time for our young participants.
2. Sign-Up Table: Assist with registrations and provide event information.
3. Talent Show Coordination: Facilitate our Talent/Spoken Word/Juneteenth Costume Show.
4. Outreach: Spread the word about the festival in the community.
5. Watermelon Team: Cut, serve, and give away delicious watermelons, watermelon slices, watermelon salad, and popsicles.
6. Health Station: Take blood pressure readings for attendees.
7. Contest Judge: Be part of the watermelon eating contest!
8. MC and Prayer Leader: Host events and lead reflections.
9. Face Painting and Games: Add color and fun to the festivities.
10. Central Event Gathering: Help guide attendees to key activities.
