St. Joseph Hospice is calling all volunteers ages 15 and older. St. Joseph Hospice is looking for volunteers for the following:
- Respite: Provide companionship to patients through sitting with them, reading, playing games, etc.
- Errands: Pack and deliver supplies
- Special Projects: Sending/delivering birthday or sympathy cards, creating gifts for patients, networking, public education
- Nursing Homes: Respite, games, or other activities such as arts and crafts
- Community Centers: Call bingo, host events, participate/host in fitness classes, crafts, other activities
We are primarily seeking volunteers to provide respite relief, by providing companionship while the caregiver runs an errand. Many of our patients love to talk to new people and play board games or card games.
Office Working hours: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm, but volunteer hours do not have to be confined to those hours.
