To help launch the 2020 MLK Week of Unity and Service, join us for a screening of Selma: The Bridge to the Ballot, followed by discussion.
When: Thursday, January 16, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Where: USA Student Center Terrace
What: A film screening of Selma: The Bridge to the Ballot, the story a courageous group of students and teachers who, along with other activists, fought a nonviolent battle to win voting rights for African Americans in the South. Voter registration and discussion to follow the movie. Refreshments provided.
Who: All students, staff, and faculty are invited to join this event.
