Description

Mobile County Commissioner Merceria Ludgood is partnering with United Way of Southwest Alabama’s Emerging Leaders to put on a volunteer fair for young professionals in the Mobile area. This free, public gathering includes representatives from dozens of local nonprofit agencies that will be on hand to provide information and answer any questions you might have about what their organizations do for the community and how you can get involved.

You may know people that do volunteer work. What they may not have shared with you is just how much fun they have, so mark your calendars and join us on Friday, May 10, 2019, in downtown Mobile as we present the 11th installment of Engaging the Next Generation (ENG) during the LoDa ArtWalk.  You’ll be able to find us from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on upper Dauphin Street between Joachim and Conception streets.

There is no cost to participate as a volunteer.

If you represent a nonprofit interested in showcasing your organization:

  • Setup begins at 5 PM.
  • The fee to participate as a vendor is $35.00 and is due by Friday, April 26th.
  • You will receive two tickets towards food, a table, and participation in the evenings event with your purchase.
  • You can download the registration form and mail it in with your check, or you can register online here.

Engaging the Next Generation is a collaborative program that was established in 2008 by Mobile United and Mobile County Commissioner Merceria Ludgood. This year Mobile United has handed the event over to United Way of Southwest Alabama and its Emerging Leaders.
