Tri The Gulf is a "sprint" triathlon held on Dauphin Island, Alabama. It is organized by the Mobile Bar Foundation. A triathlon is a multi-sport competition of 3 continuous and sequential endurance sports: swimming, bicycling, and running. Triathletes compete for the best overall course completion time.
Volunteers are needed (See Needs). The Mobile Bar Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) charitable entity. All proceeds benefit charitable and civic endeavors in the Mobile-Southwest Alabama area, such as: Adoption Rocks!, the Assistance League of Mobile, Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Alabama, Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama, the Drug Education Council, The Learning Tree, Legal Services of Alabama, the South Alabama Volunteer Lawyer Program, the Re-Entry Assistance Program, and the Mobile Volunteer Guardian Program.
