United Way's Volunteer Connect is an online system for listing volunteer needs, posting events, and tracking volunteer hours. Volunteer Connect also includes a special module we can activate to help you recruit and manage volunteers in times of disaster.
We will be holding a training for volunteer coordinators/managers for nonprofits in UWSWA's service area, which includes Mobile, Choctaw, Clarke, and Washington counties. If you're already using Volunteer Connect, this is a way to pick up some hints about how to maximize the benefits it provides. If you're not already using it but would like to do so, this is the perfect opportunity to get into the system.
If you have volunteer needs or events that you want to promote to the community at large, please feel free to bring them with you to the training. We'll show you how to post them right away.
