April 2017 is Sexual Assault Awareness Month
We will be hosting several community awareness events including our Annual “Kicking Out Sexual Violence” Kickball Tournament. It will be held at Sage Park on Saturday, April 1s and we are anticipating over 150 players this year.
This will be a double-elimination tournament and will play until there is one winner. Teams of 12 can be formed. If you would like to sign up a team, or volunteer, call Sarah at 251-602-0909 ext 320. Visit rapecrisismobile.org for more information.
All proceeds from this event will benefit one of Mobile’s most important and essential services to the community, the Rape Crisis Center, a program of Family Counseling Center dba Lifelines Counseling Services (501(c)(3)), a local, United Way agency. The Rape Crisis Center provides direct services to sexual assault victims and their families in Mobile, Washington, and Clarke Counties. Our services are provided on a 24/7 basis to victims at local hospitals and through our crisis line. In choosing to support the Rape Crisis Center, you assist in the vital work of providing individual counseling, hospital/court accompaniment, emergency transportation, counseling and support groups. These services are provided at no cost due to grants and generous donations, like yours.
