We are recruiting volunteers for our first official Community Giveaway Day! We will distribute hundreds of household items to families who need them. Set up for this event is Thursday, September 19, 2024 and is happening in two parts (loading and unloading/set up). The actual giveaway is happening Friday, September 20 from 9a -12p at The Bright Spot. Many hands make light work, so we would love to have your help if you have a couple of hours to spare. We welcome donations of extra trash bags and plastic totes, too.
Pt. 1 Loading Volunteers We need volunteers on Thursday to help load the trailer at the Anytime Storage location at Broad Street at the corner of Elmira Street (412 S. Broad Street). We will load from 9:00a until we clear out the unit - estimated finish around 11:00a. It might be helpful to bring gloves.
Pt. 2 Unloading/Set Up Volunteers We need volunteers to help unload and set up at The Bright Spot on the Mt. Hebron Church campus (2501 East I65 Service Road, Prichard, AL 36617). Estimated time 11:30am - 2:00p.
Pt. 3 Giveaway Day Volunteers We are looking for a few volunteers to disperse the items we are giving away and help folks carry things to their vehicles. 9:00a - 12:00p
