Who We Are
The Independent Music Collective (IMC) is a student organization at the University of South Alabama that works together with USA faculty, staff, alumni, and members of the broader community in an effort to enrich Mobile's music scene. Founded in 2009, the IMC sponsors a listening-room concert series that features roots musicians and Americana acts. Over the past decade, the IMC’s concert series has become one of the premier listening-room stopovers in the Southeast.
What We Do
We host Book Fairs each semester (usually 3x/semester) in the HUMB courtyard from 9am to 4pm. We have a wide selection of used books on all topics (hardcovers, paperbacks) and music in a variety of formats (records, cds). Rather than selling the items, we accept donations for our IMC concert series.
Our organization sponsors 3 to 4 concerts per semester.
