Who We Are

Mobile United is Mobile’s “problem-solver.” We were established in 1972 by a cross-section of diverse citizens seeking “an organized way to deal with and resolve community issues and a means of focusing citizens’ efforts to make Mobile a better place to live.” Now in our 46th year, we continue to creatively and collaboratively address the issues that face our community in an effort to improve the quality of life for all citizens.

What We Do

We accomplish that mission by identifying, developing and engaging servant leaders in collaborative work for the betterment of our community. The collaborative piece comes through our standing committees, which continue to make a difference in the issues that matter to all of us. We hold monthly General Membership meetings to educate members on various community topics and programs. The focus for the 2018 General Membership meetings is education, beginning with Universal Pre-K and ending with workforce development.
