Reach the 619 is a nonpartisan, Alabama led civic engagement initiative built by people who know and understand our communities. Working across 20 counties, we bring together organizers, fellows, churches, community organizations, campuses, and trusted local leaders to reach registered voters who too often go unheard. We do not promote candidates or political parties. Instead, we believe the people closest to their communities are best positioned to strengthen them. By working with pastors, barbers, stylists, teachers, coaches, students, and everyday neighbors, we are building a network rooted in trust, relationships, and the belief that the community, not the program, is the hero.

Reach the 619 turns civic engagement into action by meeting people where they are. Through phone and text banking, neighborhood canvassing, postcards and palm cards, civic education, voter information, community events, and partnerships with trusted organizations, we make it easier for Alabamians to stay informed and participate. We also train and equip volunteers and community leaders with the tools they need to engage their own networks. Our work is about more than showing up around Election Day. We are building consistent, year round relationships that remind people of the power they already have and help them use their voice at the ballot box and in their communities.
