Learning a new language is not easy--and the civics to go with your adopted country adds another layer.  You can help people in Baldwin County pick up these skills to manage their lives better, and work toward citizenship, by volunteering as a Tutor with Goodwill Gulf Coast!  These classes happen at scheduled times and as individual appointments at Goodwill's Spanish Fort Community Center at 10718 Eastern Shore Blvd, Spanish Fort, AL 36527.  Classes also available in Mobile, AL.

Math with numbers AND letters?  Together???!! Not everyone can wrap their heads around it.  Our GED students need to master Algebra and Geometry basics if they hope to pass the test (and they DO HOPE to pass it!) You can help them pull it together as a Math Tutor with Goodwill Gulf Coast!

How soon can I train you onsite?  Then you can choose the times that work for you.  

You will Volunteer to tend the Garden including outdoor activities.  

During this season we need volunteers more than ever.  We will work outside.  Don is available to assist.

Each year, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society hosts a cycling fundraiser called Bike MS: Tour de Beach.  This event raises over $500,000 for programs, services, and research benefitting thousands of people in your region living with multiple sclerosis. Free event t-shirt, refreshments, and community service hours available.        

This year's event is scheduled for Friday September 16th,  Saturday September 17th and Sunday September 18th. We are in need of Volunteer Photographers to help capture the spirit, atmosphere and magic of this event. We have opportunities at the Start/Finish line, located at Gulf State Park.

The Museum is looking for volunteers to dedicate 1 to 2 hours per month pulling up weeds in the Robert Thrower Medicinal Garden. The garden consists of three small beds bordering the front of the house. Hours can be flexible.

By becoming a Rape Crisis Volunteer, you can help by assisting victims of sexual assault within our community. Volunteers are trained to accompany victims at the hospital immediately following the assault, answer crisis calls, assist and participate in community events and fundraising opportunities.

All potential volunteers are asked to attend a screening interview, which includes a background check. It is required and appreciated that each volunteer agrees to no less than one year of committed service. With your support, we can and will continue to provide these critical services on a 24/7 basis.

We urgently need volunteers to help get our Habitat houses built! Volunteers are so important to us because they are the ones who build our houses, under the supervision of our construction crew. We are able to keep building costs down and provide our families affordable housing, through the efforts of our volunteers! We build (Tuesday-Saturday, 8A-3P). We have a few builds coming up that need your help, and we welcome individual volunteers as well as groups. Duties range from painting to flooring and sometimes even putting up walls! No previous skills are needed. Come help build a Habitat Home today!
