Mobile Baykeeper is looking for volunteers to help in our spring Apple Snail Roundup.
Why? Apple snails are an invasive species not native to our coastal communities. These creatures have taken over Langan Park in West Mobile and need to be removed. Therefore, Mobile Baykeeper started the initiative to host a roundup twice a year to move closer to eliminating the species from our coastal waterways.

Time: 9am-11am
Mobile Baykeeper will provide the cleanup supplies and refreshments. If you have a kayak, please bring one. If you would like to sign up on or website to reserve a canoe or kayak, you can do so here.
Anyone under the age of 19 must have a parental approval to participate. All children under the age of 12 must have a parent or guardian present and must have a life jacket if participating in a kayak or canoe.
