The Education Seminar and Career Fair is held semi-annually during the fall and spring semesters. This event is targeted to students seeking teaching positions and other education-related opportunities.
Help is needed before, during, and after the event to assist with set up, take down, and general hospitality and assistance.
Because business casual attire is required for the participants at the event, volunteers should also dress accordingly as they will be representing the university. Some volunteers will assist the employer representatives with bringing in/taking out materials, so comfortable shoes for walking would be advised.
Volunteers are needed in shifts as listed below.
8:00 am until 10:00 am: General set up is needed, including assisting employers with unloading at the Gamma Parking Lot and walking over to the Student Center Ballroom, getting checked in for the event, and providing event handouts
9:00 am until 11:30 am: General hospitality and assistance in the Student Center Ballroom
11:30 am until 12:30 pm: Take down, loading employer items, unloading items at the Career Services office within Academic Services Center
