Volunteer: Help Prepare Tax Returns After April 15Most people think of tax season as something that ends on April 15, and for some of our volunteers it does. But some volunteers continue to help people with late filings, back taxes, etc. right on through the summer and fall. We are seeking volunteers who are interested in learning to prepare taxes for us after tax season. If there is interest, we are considering holding certification classes in May so that new volunteers can start helping in June. This does two things: It gives you a chance to work in a less hectic environment after the rush of tax season has ended. It also gives some of our tax season volunteers a well-deserved break if they want one. If you're interested in learning more, please register here, and we'll reach out after April 15 to let you know if there's been interest in holding classes. We see this as a way to grow the program and to help people who are in greatest need. Join us and make a difference.
