Come hang out with us on 3/14 for a special Saturday for our thrift store's Spring Sidewalk Sale! We need volunteers for setup, during the sale, and for cleanup. This sale will be held in the parking lot and in-store, during regular store hours. Different shifts are available for throughout the day. When replying, please indicate which shift(s) you are volunteering for or if you want to stay all day.

Available shifts: 

Setup - 7am-10am, 3 hours (3 spots available)

Sale - 10am-12pm, 2 hours (0 spots available)

Sale - 12pm-2pm, 2 hours (2 spots available)

Sale & Cleanup - 2pm-4pm, 2 hours (6 spots available)

Do you speak English and Spanish? Arabic? Swahili? We need interpreters to help with events such as wellness groups, financial literacy classes, and employment seminars. You'll be an incredible asset to help us bridge the gap for families as they participate in important workshops and meetings. Sign up to get on the list to help with future events.

Dwell Connect (formerly Passport to Literacy) is our tutoring program for all school-aged children, held on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 4:00-5:45pm. Volunteers can serve on either day or both days, whichever fits best with their schedule. 

Volunteers are needed from 3:30-6:00pm and will help with a variety of activities, including one-on-one tutoring, enrichment activities, and playing soccer! 

This program is held off-site from Dwell Mobile (close to South Alabama) and will follow the public school calendar. Volunteers must be 18 or older and provide a background check when working with children. Location will be given once volunteer is confirmed.

Help us accept, organize, price, and sell items in our thrift store! Donations to the thrift store are dropped off consistently to be organized and set out. All proceeds of Dwell Goods go to Dwell Mobile. Hours for the thrift store are Tuesday-Friday, 10:00am-5:00 pm and Saturdays 10:00am-3:00pm. *Shifts can be for full or half days or a few hours to work with your schedule.*

Monday Movers help us pick up thrift store donations for our thrift store - Dwell Goods! We need volunteers every Monday beginning at 11am. Larger vehicles, trucks, and trailers for pick-ups are most helpful, but not required. We are most in need of hands to help move and organize! Volunteers can expect to serve a few hours until early afternoon.
