Volunteer: Disaster Ready Stakeholder Meeting
The Community Foundation of South Alabama (CFSA), in collaboration with the City of Mobile, the Mobile County Emergency Management Agency, The Nature Conservancy and the University of South Alabama, are working to identify strategies to strengthen community safety, resilience, and well-being across Mobile through a grant funded by the Gulf Research Program. Non-profits, faith-based organizations, businesses, and community groups are invited to share local knowledge, identify neighborhood needs, review findings, and help shape recommendations for safer places, disaster preparedness initiatives, and resilience planning across Mobile. Participation from
nonprofit groups is especially valuable to ensure that community perspectives, trusted networks, and on- the-ground experience inform this work.
Participation is voluntary and flexible, and we welcome engagement at a level that aligns with your organization’s capacity. This information will aid Mobile City and County in making disaster-related decisions. To help offset transportation costs, a $20 travel stipend will be provided by gift card to participating nonprofit representatives who attend each meeting in person. Lunch will be provided.
Seating is limited.
