Volunteers are trained to accompany victims at the hospital immediately following the assault, answer crisis calls, assist and participate in community events and fundraising opportunities. All potential volunteers are asked to attend a screening interview, which includes a background check. It is required and appreciated that each volunteer agrees to no less than one year of committed service. Volunteers are so important to us because they are the ones who build our houses, under the supervision of our construction crew. We are able to keep building costs down and provide our families affordable housing, through the efforts of our volunteers! We build (Tuesday-Saturday, 8A-3P). We have a few builds coming up that need your help, and we welcome individual volunteers as well as groups. Duties range from painting to flooring and sometimes even putting up walls!
