Please join us April 20th, at 11:30 a.m. to celebrate another year of advocating for sexual assault victims in the community with the staff of the Rape Crisis Center. This year we are bringing in guest speaker Becca Stevens, of Thistle Farms.
BECCA STEVENS is many things…an Episcopal priest, author, speaker, social entrepreneur, founder, and President of Thistle Farms, the largest social enterprise in the US run by survivors. She has been featured in the New York Times, on ABC World News, NPR, PBS, and CNN. When Becca speaks the listener is struck by her earnest, empathetic delivery infused with her personality. Her message is honest and she offers groups a way to move from fear and cynicism into inspired action. Thistle Farms is a community of women healing from prostitution, trafficking & addiction. It includes a two-year residential program, social enterprises that employ survivors, and an education and outreach program for the public.
Naman's catering will be serving lunch at beautiful Byrne Hall on Spring Hill College campus.
