10th Annual Cardboard City – October 24, 2015

What is Cardboard City?

Participants raise “rent” to sleep overnight in a cardboard box or in their car. The event builds public awareness of homelessness in our community and raises money to benefit Dumas Wesley’s Sybil H.Smith Family Village and Family Promise of Coastal Alabama.

Overnight Sleeping Options:

  • Cardboard Box  $100.00 or more per box-only two people per box.  Participants have the option of decorating their box for the “Best out of the Box” decorating contest.
  •  Car Camping (new this year)  $150.00 or more per car-maximum two people per car.  Participants sleep in their car overnight-children must have a parent or guardian in the car. Car camping will be in a designated area and cars will be allowed to run from 11 p.m. – 5 a.m.
